I apologize for the long delay in announcing the winner of the last poll, but better late than never.  In a very strong race, Kelly Clarkson got 28 votes to get more wallpaper added the 2 that she already has on this site.  I will be adding at least 2 Kelly Clarkson wallpapers (maybe more) within the next 2 days…so watch for the update!

Otherwise, Alessandra Ambrosio was a strong second with 23 votes, and I will be trying to add more to her page as well in the coming days.  On top of all that, I’m going to try and get on a roll and do a whole round of updates to the site within the next couple of weeks.

Dual Monitor Babes costs money to keep up.  It takes a lot of my time to update and maintain the site on a regular basis.  While the ads it had on each ‘babe’ page did make some money, it’s not enough to cover what I put into the site.  So, as a little experiment (at least for now) I have added a single ad to the front page and to each post page.  For those ‘in the know’ that are able to ignore ads I apologize for this.  However, while I make money on the ads, the great thing about them is that they should be ‘related content’ so I would ask that you don’t ignore them and instead glance at them every once in awhile…who knows…you might just see something you like!

Thankfully I left Jessica Alba out of the ‘Who’s next?’ poll so someone else finally won an update poll on this site. It was a very close race, but Scarlett Johansson beat out Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Emma Watson, and others.

You’ll see that I’ve created a new page for Scarlett Johansson and gave her the following quick bio:

Scarlett Johansson (born November 24th, 1984) is from New York, New York although she now splits her time between New York and Los Angeles. Scarlett appeared in her first movie when she was just 10 years old. Except for the year 2000 Scarlett has appeared in a movie or film every year since then, however more than half of the things she has appeared in have been within the last 4 years. I’ve been a little busy lately, but an update is coming soon.  Hopefully by the end of the week.   It looks like I will putting up some more Jessica Alba wallpaper which features her newer body.  I will also introduce Emma Watson to the site as she seems to be the most requested girl that is not Jessica Alba.

I was very shocked at the results of this weeks poll. 4 voters asked, “Who’s Tamsin Egerton?”

I’m not the greatest writer in the world, but I do think that the world ought to know who Tamsin Egerton is, so I recently made a special graphic for Tamsin in a recent ad campaign. Here is that ad:

Beyond the obvious perfection she has as a British girl with those amazing measurements and looks, she’s also a great actress. I recently saw her in ‘Keeping Mum’ and thought she was great. In fact, she’s my choice for the next bond girl.

Anyway, I’m sad I did not get enough yes votes for her. However, you will see a huge amount of Tamsin Egerton wallpaper to this site very soon.

I have decided to move the search to the top of the sidebar so that it is more noticeable.  The search is very powerful as you can search for everything from colors like red or black or green to movie names like domino or resident evil to names like keira or jessica and many other things like bikini or tennis or pirates.  Anything you can think of might just have a background or post related to it.

Life’s been pretty crazy for lately and so I have been unable to update dualmonitorbabes.com but an update is coming soon.

Not just on the wallpaper front either.  I am hoping to very shortly set up an upload system so that I can put up user contributed wallpapers.  More on that later.

From this point on, I will be dropping the ’site update’ or ‘wallpaper update’ part of the title of posts. I think it should be an obvious thing, and even if it is not, the posts will all the appropriate category marked. This is the first new post that will follow this. I do not plan to change any previous posts into the new format, although if I have some time, it is something I may do at some point.

The resolution poll has shown me that I need to start making some 3360×1050 dual monitor backgrounds. This is totally fine with me. So, the next update which I am thinking will be January 10th (after the current poll ends) will be exclusively 3360×1050. Since it’s a somewhat special update I have included mostly celebrities/models/singers/athletes/actresses/internet icons (babes) that are already on this site. However, I have included some new names. I encourage you very much to look up any names you don’t recognize on google (who knows, you might learn something).

I’m willing to bet very little of you will know who Mona ‘liv’ Gillen is, or Amber Lee Ettinger are and so it is my advice to lookup both of them. Maybe watch some videos they have to offer.

The latest poll is an interesting one.  It’s a small test to see why people are coming to my site.  It seems that a few people are interested in 3360×1050, which I don’t exactly cater too.  I am happy to also see that many are using 2100×1680 (dual vertical 1680×1050).  I am hoping that the By Resolution page will assist these people in finding all the wallpaper available on this site in their native resolutions.

It will likely take me quite awhile to get all the 2560×1024 resolutions up on that page, but I am working on it.  Also, if I missed any of my wallpapers, please let me know.

It’s been a busy holiday season for me, but I am working hard to get a wallpaper update out before I go to bed tonight so keep watching the site.  The poll ended early in the morning on the 23rd and it was yet again another tie.  This time the tie was between Heidi Klum and Lucy Pinder.  The first update, which should be up in a couple of hours will be Heidi Klum.  Lucy Pinder will come later.

Since the idea to allow people to vote for 2 people did not really work super well, I will be going back to allowing just 1 vote per person for the next poll.  The next poll will be put up as soon as I am done with the wallpaper update.
